When phlebotomy is medically necessary for a covered diagnosis, we can bill your insurance. The cash price applies otherwise. Bring your insurance card to your visit and we will check.

A therapeutic blood draw is the standard, fast way to bring levels down, and hematocrit often drops within days of a draw, with follow-up guided by your provider.

Do I need a doctor's order for therapeutic phlebotomy?

Yes, but you don’t need to arrange one in advance. Our provider can issue the order at your visit, or you can bring one from your own doctor or hematologist.

How often can I do a blood dump?
It depends on your labs. Your provider sets the schedule based on your hematocrit, hemoglobin, and iron levels.
How much blood is removed in therapeutic phlebotomy?
Typically about one unit, roughly 450 to 500 mL, confirmed by your provider at the visit.
What's the difference between therapeutic phlebotomy and blood donation?
A therapeutic phlebotomy is a provider-ordered medical draw. Donor eligibility rules don’t apply, and the blood is not donated.
Can I work out after a blood draw?
Light activity is fine the same day. Skip heavy lifting and intense training for about 24 hours.
Do I need to stop TRT if my hematocrit is high?
Often no. That’s a conversation with your provider, and therapeutic phlebotomy is frequently the tool used to manage hematocrit while staying on your protocol.
What if I'm not eligible for a draw that day?
You don’t pay. Eligibility is confirmed at every visit before any charge.
