What results can I expect, and how soon?

Generally speaking, you can expect positive physical, mental, emotional and sexual changes. These effects can be observed in as little as two weeks. Common benefits include a reduction in hot flashes, increased energy and a reversal in dryness and discomfort. You will also likely experience improved sleep patterns, less joint pain, better moods and improved concentration, among many other benefits.

What happens after my consult?

After the consult, we’ll send you a patient-intake form. Once you complete it, we’ll schedule your telehealth evaluation with our board-certified doctor. You are under no obligation to move forward — our medical team is only here to support you if you wish to receive bioidentical hormone therapy via telemedicine.

Does insurance cover the cost of hormone replacement therapy?

Insurance coverage for hormone replacement therapy can vary depending on your insurance plan and specific circumstances. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to determine whether HRT is covered under your plan, and calling the Amazing Meds team to confirm we accept your specific coverage.

Why topical treatment vs. injections?

We believe in giving our patients maximum benefits while simultaneously minimizing overall risk. Some medications are more effectively and safely absorbed into the skin topically than when they enter the body via capsules or injections.

What exactly is hormone optimization, and why is it important?

Hormone optimization involves balancing hormone levels in the body to improve overall health and well-being. Hormones play a crucial role in many bodily functions, including metabolism, mood, energy levels and sexual function. When hormone levels are imbalanced it can lead to a range of symptoms and health issues. Optimizing your hormones can help alleviate these unwanted symptoms and improve your quality of life.

How do I know bioidentical TRT is for me?

If you’re experiencing frustrating symptoms such as weight gain, tiredness, brain fog, low energy, low libido, fatigue and discomfort, it’s possible that your quality of life is being affected by imbalanced hormones. TRT may be worth considering as a solution.

Is there a limit to how long I can stay on TRT once I start?

There is no limit to how long you can stay on hormone treatments if you are happy with the results. One main purpose of the eight-week follow-up with our medical staff is to make sure the prescribed treatments are working well. Our team is always here to follow up and adjust your treatment plan to best meet your needs long-term.

Can I pay monthly for a TRT treatment plan?

Yes. We offer monthly installment plans for your treatments.

How do I know if I’m a good candidate for testosterone replacement therapy?

You may be a good candidate for TRT if you are experiencing common symptoms related to low testosterone and hormone imbalance such as fatigue, hair loss, low libido, unusual weight fluctuation, joint pain, skin irritations, sudden mood changes, a spike in anxiety and/or depression, and sleep disturbances. Our providers will note all symptoms, evaluate your medical history, run labs, go over the results with you, determine the proper treatment and follow up on results.

What makes your medications different from birth control or something my gynecologist would prescribe?

The hormones we provide are bioidentical, which means they are much safer for long-term use. Bioidentical hormones have a high compatibility rate, meaning they act nearly identically to the hormones your body would naturally produce. That high compatibility is ideal, because your body is more likely to fully utilize the hormones, resulting in optimization of your overall health.
